The Young Marquis and Stanley show was first heard Sunday nights on KROQ FM 106.7 Los Angeles from 1977 through 1983. It became one of the highest rated shows of that period, and helped make KROQ the number one station in the early eighties.

REAL NAME: STANLEY THROCKMORTON FINCHLEY III America's favorite pal, STANLEY, encountered the YOUNG MARQUIS during the aristocrat's flight to freedom, moments ahead of a mob of angry peasants. STANLEY is always on hand to advise the YOUNG MARQUIS on proper royal conduct. STANLEY's past is not entirely clear, but the few facts revealed show that he was raised in the slums of Monte Carlo by a band of Gypsy blackjack dealers, and developed an interest in radio while attempting to repair a refrigerator.
